U.S - Israel Relations
Jerry R Curry
Major General US Army Retired

Throughout our history, the United States and Israel have developed a mutual friendship that I will do everything within my power to affirm and foster.  Israel shares the same values for a free and democratic society that we as Americans hold so dear.  Under my leadership, we will work to protect our mutually shared way of life.  We will hold to those promises that we have already made to Israel and we will look for new ways of strengthening our alliance.

Israel and the United States share a set of cultural values which are based in their religious heritage.  The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of Joseph and David, is also the God we trust. The founders of the United States placed their faith in God when they founded this nation. It is our shared belief that each individual has a God-given right to life, liberty, happiness, and justice that binds our relationship.  We will stand strong for the State of Israel as we, along with nations around the world, are faced with terrorism, fanatical Muslims and jihad.

As a friend of Israel, we will continue to extend our economic and military support.  We will also work to thwart any plans or strategies which undermine the sovereign State of Israel. We will seek to do everything possible to support Israel’s peaceful resolutions with the Palestinian people.

Israel and the United States will work closely as allies if I become President.

Quotes:

"I entered the race for the presidency early this year because I felt that I offered what so many people were calling for in a new candidate one who was a true conservative and whose background, experience and stand on the issues would adequately address America¹s problems, protect us from the uncommon dangers we face, secure our borders, preserve our liberties, and..."   more

"I
will walk hand in hand with those whose views are similar to mine, and I pledge to work in a spirit of collegiality with those whose views are different."

"War is violence, killing, death and destruction.  It should be resorted to as a very … very … last resort, when all else has failed. The United States should never embark on a war unless it is willing to win it in as short a time as possible."
